Manchester City announce Kalvin Phillips signing on six-year deal

Manchester City have announced the signing of Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United on a six-year deal.

The 26-year-old has agreed terms with the English champions until the summer of 2028 and leaves the Yorkshire giants after spending 12 years in the ranks at Elland Road.

He has been handed the number 4 shirt at the Etihad, previously worn by Vincent Kompany.

Phillips was an integral part of the 2019-20 side that achieved promotion to the English top flight under Marcelo Bielsa, and the England international is now a regular part of the national squad.

The midfielder has scored 13 goals and registered 13 assists in 232 appearances for Leeds United in all competitions.
