Chelsea put £26m price tag on Emerson Palmieri

Chelsea have reportedly put a £26m price-tag on Emerson Palmieri as Inter Milan continue to be linked with a move for the defender.

The Blues are reportedly willing to part ways with the left-back for a fee of £26m during the summer transfer window.

Emerson’s future at the Stamford Bridge has been called into question on several occasions, especially after the arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.

Palmieri, 26, has been linked with a move back to his hometown, where he turned out for Palermo and AS Roma before joining the West London club in 2018, and Inter Milan are believed to have taken an interest in the left-back ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

According to Goal, the Italy international is no longer in Frank Lampard’s plans and the Blues will sanction a sale this summer, but they are hopeful to make a profit.

Palmieri racked up 55 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, but the Italian has failed to hold down a regular spot and has just under two years left to run on his contract.
