Liverpool have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ben White during this summer’s transfer window.

The 22-year-old defender enjoyed a stellar 2019-20 campaign on loan at Leeds United, guiding the Whites to the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are thought to be keen on a permanent deal for the centre-back, but according to The Mirror, the Reds are also weighing up a summer approach.

A number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea, have previously been linked with a move to the Englishman, suggesting that the Seagulls might struggle to keep him at the Amex.

White has a deal at Brighton until at the end of next season.
