Big Bash League announces full schedule for 2020-21

Australia’s domestic Twenty20 competition Big Bash League season 10 is scheduled to begin on December 3 when the Adelaide Strikers host the Melbourne Renegades, followed by 60 action-packed matches across the nation and a final gets underway on February 6 2021.

However, Cricket Australia acknowledged the schedule could be affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Scheduling in the time of coronavirus is not without its challenges, as we have seen,” said Cricket Australia’s Big Bash chief Alistair Dobson.

“There are factors outside the league itself which could impact (the schedule) at a later date.”

The competition could face problems as interstate travel is currently restricted after Australia’s two major cities Melbourne and Sydney experienced new COVID-19 outbreaks recently.

The matches will be played over a period of more than two months with the final on February 6th.
