Tottenham Hotspur lining up move for 24-year-old Welshman

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Leeds United winger Daniel James in the summer transfer window, following rumours surfaced that Bryan Gil could exit the north London outfit.

According to Football London, James has emerged as a transfer target for Spurs as a potential replacement for Gil, who is set to join Valencia this summer.

The report goes on to claim that the Lilywhites managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, likes the Wales international, who joined the Yorkshire giants last year from Manchester United.

James has established himself as an essential part of the Whites, appearing in 32 English top flight marches last season, contributing four goals and assisting with 5.

However, the Elland Road outfit has a lot more attacking power this term, following the arrivals of Luis Sinisterra and Brenden Aaronson.

James was suspended for Leeds’ opening home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but has been involved in the last two league matches for the Whites, including a thrilling 3-0 victory against Chelsea.
