Barcelona plot summer move for Paulo Dybala on a free transfer

Barcelona have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer.

The 28-year-old has been in impressive form for the Old Lady during the 2021-22 campaign, making 27 appearances in all competitions, contributing 12 goals and six in the process.

He possesses a contract until the end of June, though, and there remains speculation surrounding his future.

According to Sport, the Argentine wants to play in La Liga despite already receiving offers from the Premier League and Serie A.

The report adds that Tottenham Hotspur have already made ‘a firm offer’ for the forward, but Barcelona are deemed favourites for his signature, with the Blaugrana identifying him as the ideal low-cost signing ahead of the new campaign.

Dybala amassed 112 goals and 48 assists in 281 appearances for Juve since joining the club from Palermo in 2015.
