Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Borussia Dortmund centre-back Dan-Axel Zagadou over a move to Old Trafford.

According to Fussball Transfers, the Premier League giants have approached Zagadou’s agent Moussa Sissoko to discuss the possibility of the 22-year-old defender joining the club on a free transfer this summer.

Zagadou possesses a contract until the end of the current campaign, meaning that the centre-back is currently free to hold discussions with foreign clubs.

However, BVB are hopeful of being able to convince the defender to pen a new contract at Westfalenstadion.

The Frenchman has only made nine appearances for Dortmund during the 2021-22 campaign.
