Leeds United eyeing January move for Louie Sibley

Leeds United are weighing up a January move for Derby County midfielder Louie Sibley, according to The Athletic.

The Whites were in the hunt for a new central midfielder over the summer but were unable to get a deal over the line.

According to the aforementioned reports, the Yorkshire outfit could take advantage of Derby’s current financial situation as some of their key players, including Louie Sibley could be available for a much cheaper price.

The report goes on to claim Leeds could be a potential destination for the 20-year-old midfielder.

It is understood that the Peacocks will look to recruit a playmaker in the mid-season, as Marcelo Bielsa is keen to strengthen his squad.

Sibley has proven himself to be a first-team regular with the Rams last season, chalking up 36 appearances across all competitions.
