Arsenal reportedly remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga in the coming days.

The 21-year-old playmaker has become a first-team regular over the past two seasons for the Belgian outfit.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to lure a new midfielder to the Emirates this summer and has already missed out on the signing of Emiliano Buendia and Martin Odegaard.

According to Nieuwsblad, the Gunners are preparing an improved £14 bid for Lokonga with £3m in add-ons.

The Belgium international has made 27 league appearances for Anderlecht last season, scoring thrice and assisting twice during the process.
