Bayern Munich have reportedly expressed an interest in making a bid in excess of £50million for highly sought-after Manchester City attacking midfielder Leroy Sane.

The Bundesliga champions regarded as long-time admirers of the Germany international, who will see his current deal at the Etihad expire at the end of next season.

Sane returned to action for City Under-23 side in February, and the Bavarians are supposedly preparing to step up their interest in the 24-year-old winger.

According to The Telegraph, Bayern are willing to offer €65million for the attacker’s services, but Hans-Dieter Flick’s side will reassess their financial situation when the summer window eventually opens amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sane has scored 39 times in 134 appearances for Manchester City since his move from Schalke in 2016.
