Newcastle United join race to sign Kalidou Koulibaly
Newcastle United have reportedly joined the list of clubs wanting to sign Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, according to The Express.
The Senegal international, who has been heavily linked with a move to the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, is expected to leave the Italian club this summer and this has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe.
The Magpies have now emerged as rumoured suitors for the 28-year-old defender and it is suggested that the Tyneside outfit will have the funds to do so with the takeover.
Koulibaly is valued at somewhere around £70million by Partenopei and Newcastle United would make a big headline, if they convince the centre-back to join the north-east side ahead of some of Europe’s heavyweight clubs.
