Chelsea lead race to sign BVB teenager Nnamdi Collins

Chelsea have reportedly entered pole position in the race to complete a deal for Borussia Dortmund teenager Nnamdi Collins, according to German media outlet Bild.

The Blues have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign the 16-year-old defender from BVB this summer.

The west London outfit have offered Dortmund a deal worth €2m in a bid to sign one of Europe’s most promising defenders.

The report goes on to add that Chelsea are facing competition from Manchester City in the race to sign the Germany youth international.

The Bundesliga giants could be forced into selling the highly-rated teenager given Collins has just over a year left to run on his contract at the Westfalenstadion.

Chelsea have held a long-term interest in the Dortmund centre-back after scouting the German for the past three years.
