Liverpool are closely monitoring the rise of Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ben White.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the top defenders in the Championship this season while on loan at Leeds United.

The centre-back has made 34 starts, helping the Whites remain in the second spot for much of the campaign.

While a number of clubs are keeping close tabs on the Englishman, The Athletic suggests that Liverpool are mulling over a summer move for the youngster, who has yet to make his Premier League debut for the Seagulls.

Although White has a deal at Amex Stadium until 2022, his future could depend on his desire to sign fresh terms at the Seagulls.
