Lille forward Nicolas Pepe on Manchester City’ radar

Lille striker Nicolas Pepe is reportedly the subject of interest from Premier League champions Manchester City.

Pepe has impressed with Les Dogues this term that is understood to have alerted a number of European heavyweight clubs, with the 23-year-old Ivorian having scored eight times and created five more in just 12 appearances.

With the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona are all thought to be keeping a close eye on the striker’s progress, and The Times reports that English champions have now also joined the race for the player’s signature.

City coach Pep Guardiola is keen to further bolster his frontline, despite scoring a record 106 goals in the Premier League last term.

Pepe’s stunning form this term has resulted in a higher caliber of clubs after him, though, and the Ligue 1 outfit are reported to value the Ivory Coast international at £44 million now.
