Arsenal Leapfrog Chelsea in Pursuit of Dortmund Star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, as the young winger favours a move to north London over a switch to Chelsea.
According to German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten, both Arsenal and Chelsea have expressed firm interest in the 20-year-old Englishman, who is keen on returning to England this summer. However, it’s the Gunners who now hold the upper hand, with Bynoe-Gittens reportedly seeing more opportunity for regular game time at the Emirates.
Dortmund Set for Another Big Sale?
Borussia Dortmund continue to show their pedigree in developing English talents, having already cashed in on stars like Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham. Now, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens could follow the same path. Valued at around €50–60 million, he’s become a hot commodity on the summer transfer radar.
Chelsea have reportedly held talks with Dortmund and even floated the idea of sending Jadon Sancho back to his former club as part of a deal. But Arsenal’s project under Mikel Arteta appears to have swayed the player’s preference.
Arsenal Eyeing Left-Wing Reinforcements
Arsenal are actively in the market for a left-winger, and Bynoe-Gittens fits the bill as a promising long-term option. While Athletic Club’s Nico Williams is also a key target, his high wage demands pose a challenge. That makes Bynoe-Gittens a more attainable and strategic signing.
With Arteta keen to add more firepower and youth to his frontline, the Gunners’ interest in Bynoe-Gittens is both timely and logical.
