Man United and Real Madrid in race to sign Federico Dimarco

Inter Milan’s Federico Dimarco has attracted interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, with reports suggesting both clubs are keen on the 27-year-old Italian international.

Dimarco, a product of Inter’s youth system, has become a pivotal figure for the Nerazzurri, contributing significantly to their recent successes.

Manchester United’s pursuit of Dimarco stems from their need to strengthen the left wing-back position, especially given Luke Shaw’s ongoing fitness challenges and Tyrell Malacia’s gradual return to form. The Red Devils have reportedly made an enquiry about Dimarco’s availability.

Real Madrid, facing inconsistent performances from Ferland Mendy and seeking a reliable left-back, are also eyeing Dimarco. Reports indicate that Los Blancos are preparing a bid of around €70 million to secure his services.

However, both Inter Milan and Dimarco have shown little interest in a transfer. Dimarco, a lifelong Inter fan, is reportedly set to enter talks with the club about extending his current contract, which runs until 2027.

As the January transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United or Real Madrid can persuade Dimarco to consider a move.
