Manchester United join race to sign Bryan Mbeumo

Bryan Mbeumo’s scintillating form for Brentford has caught the eyes of Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Liverpool, sparking a fierce transfer battle. The versatile 25-year-old winger has impressed this season with eight goals and an assist in 12 league games, proving to be a vital cog in Thomas Frank’s setup. His ability to play as a winger, false nine, or even a central striker adds to his appeal.

Arsenal are particularly keen, looking for cover and competition for Bukayo Saka, with Mbeumo offering a dynamic option in their attack. Newcastle, on the other hand, see him as a potential upgrade with Miguel Almiron’s position under review and Alexander Isak’s future uncertain. Liverpool, too, are monitoring the Cameroonian international as a possible successor to Mohamed Salah, whose contract situation remains unresolved.

With his contract running until 2026, Brentford may cash in, reportedly valuing Mbeumo at £40 million. His manager has already hinted at a bright future for the winger, possibly at a top Premier League club. The January transfer window could see an intense tussle as these clubs vie for his signature to bolster their attacking ranks.
