Man United lead race to sign Kieran Trippier
Manchester United have emerged as rumoured suitors for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.
The 30-year-old joined Los Rojiblancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2019, and he has since been an integral part at the Metropolitano Stadium.
The England international is on the cusp of winning the league title with Atletico, but there is speculation that the former Spurs defender could return home this summer.
According to The Athletic, the right-back has a little more than a year left to run on his contract, and he is open to returning to the English Premier League.
The Red Devils are favourites to land his signature, having initially made an approach early this year in January.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the Norwegian is unconvinced with both Diogo Dalot and Brandon Williams.
Trippier has provided six assists in 27 appearances for Atletico this season.
