On 10th January (Deadline), IPL franchises have submitted their list of retained players, ahead of the 2014 IPL auction.
- Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have retained five players each.
- Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained three players.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab have retained only two players each.
- and Delhi Daredevils have not retained any player for IPL 7 season. They will build a new team for this season.
