Tottenham in talks to sign Robert Sanchez
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Robert Sanchez as a potential summer signing.
Football Insider reports that Spurs are interested in signing the 25-year-old stopper as a potential replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Sanchez has been identified as one of Tottenham’s potential targets, and the North Londoners are expected to pursue him during the summer transfer window.
The Spain international joined Brighton’s youth academy in 2013 and has been with the club ever since. He was sent out on several loans to gain first-team experience, which ultimately paid off as he became the club’s undisputed number one goalkeeper.
He has continued to improve and has amassed 88 first-team appearances with 28 clean sheets to his name.
Sanchez has a contract with Brighton until 2025. However, the goalkeeper is reportedly not expected to remain with the club for next season.
His arrival at Tottenham would solve some of the club’s goalkeeping problems. Spurs are currently uncertain about who their next manager will be, but they have already begun taking steps to strengthen their squad for next season.
