Liverpool interested in Matheus Nunes
According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are ramping up their efforts to sign Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton Wanderers and hope to secure his signature at the end of the season.
Nunes was reportedly a target for the Reds during the summer transfer window, but the club ultimately decided not to invest heavily in a new central midfield player.
The West Midlands outfit paid €45m to bring the Portugal international to the club from Sporting Lisbon, making him the latest Portuguese player to join the team.
It’s been reported that the 24-year-old is currently under contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers until 2027, with the option to extend for another year.”
He has provided one assist in 14 Premier League appearances for Wolves.
Liverpool are exploring the possibility of signing the highly-rated midfielder and are looking into a deal to bring him to Merseyside.
If a £44m deal goes through, it’s expected that Nunes would move to Anfield at the end of the season.
