Chelsea to pip Arsenal to Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk?

Chelsea are reportedly keen to edge out Arsenal in the race to sign €100 million-rated Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk this month.

According to The Independent, the Blues have blown the Gunners out of the water in the race to land the Ukraine international.

Mudryk is at the center of a rivalry between the two Premier League clubs, who are both eager on signing the 21-year-old attacker.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has insisted in his recent interviews that the club must use every opportunity to strengthen their limited squad as they aim to keep their position as the top team in the Premier League.

Chelsea may be more assertive in their efforts to acquire the youngster, and the aforementioned report suggests that club owner Todd Boehly is willing to outdo any offer made by Arsenal.

Mudryk would bring a significant boost to Chelsea’s midfield and would be a vast improvement over players such as Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic.
