Tottenham Hotspur planning swoop for Alexis Mac Allister

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the clutch of clubs hoping to secure the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, contributing five goals in 14 Premier League games.

The Argentine has a contract at the Amex Stadium until 2025 with the option of a further year.

However, Tottenham are believed to have been alerted to his performances in Qatar, and Fichajes claims that the North Londoners are keeping a close eye on his development.

Spurs head coach Antonio Conte is said to be after a new creative midfielder during the mid-season transfer window.

Tottenham are not alone in their pursuit, Inter Milan are said to be the frontrunners for Allister’s signature, while Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest.

Since establishing himself as a regular first-team player for the Seagulls, the Argentine has made 86 appearances in all competitions, contributing 13 goals and setting up six more.

Conte is expected to be backed with funds in the January transfer window, as Daniel Levy is set to agree a new contract with the Italian before the end of the season.
