Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Marcos Llorente from Atletico Madrid.

The Reds are currently struggling with injuries and are looking at reinforcements before the transfer window shuts down.

The Merseyside outfit have been linked with Barcelona attacker Frenkie de Jong and Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, but they are also rumoured to be contemplating a move for Marcos Llorente.

According to Fichajes, the Premier League giants are looking to sign the 27-year-old despite the playmaker having five years left to run on his contract at Metropolitano Stadium.

Although the Spain international has started both of Atletico’s games this campaign, the report claims that head coach Diego Simeone could allow the midfielder to leave should the Reds make an offer.

Llorente has scored 18 goals and registered 20 assists for Los Rojiblancos since joining the club in 2019.
