Tottenham Hotspur eye Ollie Watkins

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as a potential summer replacement for striker Harry Kane.

With three left to run on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs rejected Manchester City’s attempts to sign the 28-year-old during the summer window.

The England international has since endured a poor start to the new season, failing to score for the Lilywhites.

According to Fichajes, Watkins has emerged as a potential alternative if Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy fails to retain the services of the club’s star man.

Watkins has been impressive over the last 12 months at Villa, scoring 14 goals from his 41 appearances in England’s top flight.

Watkins is contracted to the West Midlands outfit until 2025.
