Paris Saint-Germain sign Georginio Wijnaldum until 2024

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has agreed to join Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain this summer, after the Dutchman’s contract at Anfield expires this month.

The 30-year-old was seemingly set to join compatriot Ronald Koeman at Barcelona, who had agreed personal terms for the playmaker to move to Camp Nou.

However, The Guardian reports that Wijnaldum has now signed a three-year contract with the Parisians and the deal will be finalised after his medical.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is believed to have urged the club to swoop for the Netherlands international, who clocked up 237 appearances for the Reds and is leaving the club having won the Premier League, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
