Norwich City are reportedly closing in on the signing of Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour on a season-long loan.

Having fallen out of favour, the 20-year-old is believed to be keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge in search of regular Premier League action.

According to Sky Sports News, the Scotland international has agreed to join the Canaries and is expected to complete his medical this week.

The youngster had to miss Scotland’s final group game against Croatia after testing positive for COVID-19, therefore the midfielder will complete his medical at the end of this week following his 10-day isolation is finished.

Gilmour has failed to score his first Chelsea goal yet after appearing on 22 occasions.
