Barcelona have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana have identified Alonso as an ideal summer signing.

The 30-year-old has fallen down the pecking order behind Ben Chilwell at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel.

With Alonso’s contract is due to expire at the end of the 2022-23 campaign, the Spaniard is understandably being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The report claims that the Catalan giants already reached an agreement with Alonso during the January transfer window, but were unable to get a deal over the line, and Inter Milan could battle Barca for the defender’s signature.

Alonso has made just 17 appearances for the Blues in all competitions last term.
