Sevilla are reportedly aiming to land the signature of Takumi Minamino from Liverpool during the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old winger joined the Reds from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020 but has failed to make his mark for the Premier League champions, netting just four goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.

A lack of regular action saw Minamino join Southampton on loan for the rest of the 2020-21 season, and the attacker scored on his debut for the Saints against Newcastle United at the start of this month.

With that said, the Japan international is due to return to Liverpool this summer, but according to Fichajes, the La Liga giants Sevilla want to sign him on a permanent deal ahead of the next season.

Minamino’s current deal with Liverpool is due to run until the summer of 2024.
