Real Madrid earmark Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku as Karim Benzema replacement
Real Madrid have earmarked Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema.
Lukaku, 27, has been in sensational form for Inter during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring nine goals in nine appearances in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the Belgium international has scored 43 goals in just 60 outings for Nerazzurri since his move from Manchester United in the summer of 2019.
Benzema remains a key asset for Real Madrid, but the Frenchman will be 33 next month, and the Spanish champions are thought to be looking at long-term replacements for the forward.
According to reports in Spain, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez views Lukaku as a potential signing and could make a move in the January transfer window.
Lukaku is contacted to San Siro until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
