Babar Azam named Pakistan Test captain

Babar Azam has been appointed as Pakistan Test captain.

His first assignment as a skipper will be in the ICC World Test Championship match against New Zealand starting from December 26.

The 26-year-old replaces Azhar Ali, who last captained in the longest format of the game against England during summer.

Azam will now lead the nation in all three formats of the game.
