Man Utd preparing late £90m bid for BVB winger Jadon Sancho
Manchester United are reportedly preparing a late offer to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
United’ pursuit of the Englishman has remained a constant discussion throughout the summer transfer window, but there has still been no developments in talks between the two clubs heading into the final seven days of the window.
The Bundesliga giants are adamant that they will not lower their £109m asking price for the 20-year-old attacker.
The Red Devils still regard Sancho as their top summer target but are unwilling to spend £109m due to the financial concerns arising from the coronavirus pandemic.
The Metro reports that Ed Woodward, the executive vice-chairman of Manchester United, will instead return with an offer worth £90m including add-ons for the former Manchester City star.
The Premier League giants are hopeful that the late bid will test BVB’s resolve late in the window, although the German club are not thought to be under any pressure to cash in on one of their assets.
Donny van de Beek is the only signing United have made so far this summer, although they have been constantly linked with Alex Telles and are also thought to be contemplating a number of Sancho alternatives.
