The Magpies launch £4.5m bid for Dimitris Giannoulis?
Newcastle United have tabled a £4.5m bid for PAOK defender Dimitris Giannoulis as Steve Bruce eyes a new full-back ahead of the new campaign.
The 24-year-old defender made 44 appearances for the Greek outfit last term, contributing six assists to help the club finish second in the Super League.
The Magpies are in the market for a new full-back after seeing Danny Rose heading back to parent club Tottenham Hotspur, and journalist Manu Lonjon has tweeted that they have now made a move for Dimitris Giannoulis.

The Tyneside outfit are believed to be seriously considering Giannoulis, and it has been suggested that PAOK would be looking for a fee somewhere around €5m to €6million.
Meanwhile, Marseille and Watford are also thought to be weighing up moves for the Greek international.
