Liverpool and Manchester City will reportedly go head to head for Bayern Munich playmaker Thiago Alcantara in this summer’s transfer window.

Reports suggest the Premier League duo are leading the chase for the Spain international, with the Serie A champions Juventus also thought to be weighing up moves.

However, it remains to be seen who will get Alcantara’s signature, but the 29-year-old midfielder looks an ideal addition for the style of play at both Liverpool and Man City.

He could also be a good fit for Maurizio Sarri’s style of football at Turin, though the Italian champions only recently signed Barcelona’s Arthur, who plays a similar role.

It is suggested Alcantara would cost around £32m as he nears the final year of his contract with the Germans.
