Manchester City to move for Achraf Hakimi?

Manchester City have reportedly identified Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi as a potential summer signing as they look to bolster their backline ahead of next season.

The 21-year-old defender, who plays for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, on loan from Real Madrid – contributing nine goals and ten assists in all competitions this term.

He is expected to return to Madrid this summer, but a bunch of European clubs are rumoured to be keeping tabs on the Moroccan and contemplating a summer move for the right-back.

The Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Hakimi, however, Sport claim that the Citizens have made contact with Los Blancos to assess the situation.

The report adds that Pep Guardiola’s side are willing to fork out a hefty fee for the youngster, but BVB are still determined to strike a permanent move for the defender.

Hakimi still has two years remaining on his contract with Real Madrid.
