Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in a summer deal for Hearts full-back Aaron Hickey.

The 17-year-old defender has established himself as a first-team regular at Tynecastle, having made 30 appearances in all competitions.

However, the teenager’s deal at Hearts is due to expire at the end of next season, and the Daily Mail reports that the Scottish outfit may be forced to cash in on him this summer rather than losing him on a free transfer.

Manchester City, Everton, Southampton and Celtic have also been linked with the Scot, but the Eagles are thought to be leading the race to sign him ahead of next season.

Given Hearts’ current financial condition, Hickey may refuse to commit further at Tynecastle Park.
