Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of signing Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham.

The 16-year-old midfielder has been linked with a number of elite clubs following his stunning performances in the Championship this season, where he has scored four times and registered three assists in 32 appearances.

According to German outlet Bild, Dortmund’s talks over the teenager had progressed quickly prior to the COVID-19 suspension, and the Bundesliga outfit are supposedly set to beat the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for the Englishman.

Man United were said to be the frontrunners for the highly-rated youngster, but the report claims that BVB are only missing Bellingham’s signature for the transfer to be confirmed.

Bellingham has scored twice in three appearances for the England Under-17 side.
