Chris Smalling on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar?
Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur and Everton after an impressive loan spell at AS Roma.
The 30-year-old defender joined Giallorossi on loan from Man United last summer and has impressed with the Italian outfit since his arrival, contributing two goals and one assist in 19 Serie A appearances.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have made contact with Manchester United over the England international, while the Italian champions Juventus are also keeping tabs on the player’s future.
The report goes on to claim that the Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward has put £16.5m price tag on the defender, whose contract expires in the summer of 2022.
Roma are currently sit six points adrift of fourth-placed Atalanta BC.
