Barcelona have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Carl Rushworth as a potential summer signing.

The 18-year-old stopper, who joined the Seagulls from his local non-League outfit Halifax in 2019, has been on loan with Worthing FC during the 2019-20 season.

According to The Mirror, the Spanish champions Barcelona have scouted England’s Under-19 international in the Isthmian Premier Division this term as they line up a £4m move for the Brighton-owned keeper during the summer transfer window.

The teenager is yet to represent Albion’s first team but has turned out for their Under-18s and Under-23s.

The Catalan giants were knocked out of the Copa del Rey on Thursday courtesy of a 1-0 loss to Athletic Bilbao.
