Kieron Pollard appointed West Indies captain for ODIs, T20Is

West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard has been named captain of the ODI and T20I team. However, Jason Holder will continue to lead the Test team.

The decision was announced after the conclusion of a board meeting in Tobago.

Pollard, who hasn’t played 50-over cricket for more than three years – has scored 2289 runs in 101 ODIs and 903 runs in 62 T20 Internationals.

The 30-year-old’s opening assignment as skipper will be against Afghanistan in November.
