Tottenham Hotspur consider move to sign Philippe Coutinho?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Philippe Coutinho from FC Barcelona this summer, says ESPN.

Spurs are keen to sign the Brazil international, who started just 22 La Liga games and only managed to score five times for the Catalan giants last season.

The Lilywhites are targeting a deal for the 27-year-old, and that their north London rivals Arsenal have “no interest” in the playmaker.

His future has been something of a source of speculations this summer following his lack of playing time at Camp Nou last term.

The report adds that the Brazilian played under Mauricio Pochettino at Espanyol and maintains a healthy relationship with the Argentine manager.

Tottenham Hotspur will begin their Premier League campaign with a home game against Aston Villa on Aug 10.
