Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the verge of signing Jack Clarke from Leeds United, according to Sky Sports.

Spurs are keen to secure the 18-year-old’s signature after having also shown interest in the January transfer window.

The report adds that discussions between the two sides have progressed over the last few days to leave Tottenham close to completing a deal for the Englishman, who was a regular fixture in the Peacocks team last season.

He has scored two goals in 25 appearances in all competitions last term as Marcelo Bielsa’s side reached the Championship play-offs.

The Lilywhites are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Mauricio Pochettino looks to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

Tottenham are still aiming to win their first major trophy since Pochettino’s appointment at the north London club.
