Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier this summer, according to France Football, as quoted by Metro.

The Gunners are interested in a deal to sign the 27-year-old defender this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

The report goes on to claim, Arsenal manager Unai Emery is keen to find a replacement for Stephan Lichtsteiner, who is set to leave the Emirates this summer.

However, Manchester United remain as long-term admirers of Meunier, meaning that the two Premier League sides could go head to head for the Belgian’s signature this summer.

Meunier has scored three goals and provided three assists in 19 starts in Ligue 1 this season.
