Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur lock horns over €17m midfielder

Premie League giants Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to do battle over the signature of Hoffenheim midfielder Nadiem Amiri next summer.

The Germany Under-21 international is yet to feature for his club so far this term due to injury, but Tottenham have been linked with him before and are understood to rekindle their interest at the end of season.

According to German outlet Bild (via The Sun), north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will keep an eye on the 22-year-old’s progress closely when he returns from injury.

With that said, January move is unlikely, but both sides are willing to consider making offers next summer if they are impressed by the playmaker.

Amiri reportedly has a €17m release clause in his contract at the German outfit, making him a cheap option in the transfer market.
