Man United interested in Sunderland starlet Adam Richardson?

Manchester United have emerged as rumoured suitors for Sunderland youngster Adam Richardson, according to The Sun as cited by The Express.

The England under-15 international is currently part of the youth setup at the North-East outfit, and the Black Cats will look to sign the youngster to an academy deal once he turns 16.

However, the report claims, scouts from the Red Devils have been left impressed by Richardson and could make an approach for the goalkeeper this New Year.

The League One side are currently unable to prevent Richardson from joining clubs, although the Black Cats would still receive a fee if the shot-stopper eventually moves to Old Trafford.

Manchester United are said to value Richardson somewhere in the region of £500,000.

It remains to be seen if Sunderland academy goalkeeper Adam Richardson is interested in the move. Having said that, the 20-time English champions are a big club who still try to nurture talent from their academy through to their first team.
