Report: Wenger finds Jamie Vardy’s alternative

Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprise move to sign Stevan Jovetic from Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of new players in recent weeks as manager Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his squad ahead of 2016/17 Premier League season.

The north Londoners have launched a £20 million bid to lure Jamie Vardy to the Emirates but the Leicester’s star is still thinking on making a decision about whether he wants to leave the English champions.

The 29-year-old England international is currently on England duty at Euro 2016 and seems to be in no rush to make a decision on his future move.

According to Corriere dello Sport, The Gunners are plotting a move for the former Manchester City man Stevan Jovetic to reshape their front line.

It is believed that the 26-year-old would be keen on a move back to the English Premier League with Arsenal, who finished second in the league last season, 10 points behind the champions Leicester CIty.

Jovetic scored seven goals in 28 appearances last season as Nerazzurri finished fourth in the league standings.
