Derbyshire have announced the signing of all-rounder Sean Ervine from Hampshire for the remainder of the 2018 season.
Former Zimbabwe international will be available for the last six Specsavers County Championship fixtures this summer, starting with the trip to face Sussex on Sunday 19 August.
“I’m excited and grateful to get the opportunity to play some regular first-class cricket at Derbyshire,” the 35-year-old said. “the aim now is to be as competitive as possible in the final run of games and see where that can take us.”
The 35-year-old has scored 9,040 runs, including 15 hundreds and 47 fifties, whilst also claimed 214 wickets in 188 first-class matches for Hampshire since joining the county club in 2005.
