Karim Benzema agrees to join Arsenal

Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema has allegedly agreed to join Premier League giants Arsenal, but the Gunners are said to be short of meeting the Madrid’s asking price for the Frenchman.

The north Londoners are willing to pay £35m for the former Lyon striker’s services, while the European champions are holding out for £52.3m, as per the reports from The Mirror.

With the two clubs still locked in negotiations over a fee, the 30-year-old striker is said to have told Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger that he wants to move to the Emirates.

Benzema has struggled to find form at the Bernabeu this season, with the La Liga giants enduring a difficult campaign that has seen bitter rivals Barcelona FC ahead 19-point at the top of the league table.
