Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly interested in the signature of West Ham United’s on-loan midfielder Alex Song, reports The Metro.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form this season since his season-long loan move to the Hammers from Barcelona.

The reports has suggested that the Reds will try to lure the Cameroonian ahead of the January transfer window.

However – West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is also considering to make the permanent move for the ex-Arsenal player when his spell ends, could face a stiff competition for his signature from the Liverpool, who are also desperate to add the midfielder to their squad.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the Spanish giant Barcelona have already decided to sell Alex Song as soon as possible.
