Arsenal Eye Sensational Move for Atletico Madrid Star Julian Alvarez

Arsenal are reportedly ramping up efforts to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez in a blockbuster move that could shake up the summer transfer window.

According to Marca, the Gunners have identified the Argentine forward as a top priority—with strong backing from new sporting director Andrea Berta, who previously spent eight years at Atletico Madrid. Berta’s inside knowledge of Alvarez’s talent is said to be driving Arsenal’s aggressive pursuit.

Alvarez, who left Manchester City for Atletico just last summer, has been in scintillating form, netting an impressive 29 goals across all competitions. His explosive performances have reignited Premier League interest, and Arsenal are eager to bring him back to English football as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season.

With Champions League football secured, Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to splash the cash in search of a clinical finisher. However, prising Alvarez away from Madrid won’t come cheap. Atletico paid around £64 million for him and are reportedly holding out for a fee north of £100m.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old, potentially setting up a high-stakes bidding war between two of England’s elite.
